Team Dindigul Dragons Launches Green Patch 161 at NPR College, Natham

Dindigul, August 2, 2019: TAKE and Dindigul Dragons hosted a tree plantation initiative at the NPR campus supporting the importance of planting trees to support a greener environment, which is the critical need of the hour with the water crisis being a primal issue. The objective of the Green Patch 161 initiative is to plant over 161 trees over the year to celebrate the Dragons highest runs partnership achievement.

The Green Patch initiative is very much part of TAKE Solutions’ environmental sustainability agenda in being a socially and environmentally conscious organization.  Over the years, through TAKE’s ongoing efforts with the Environmentalist Foundation of India (EFI) the Company has successfully restored four water bodies, planted 1500 trees and saplings, raised awareness through five wall paintings across the city, recycled 2600+ kgs of paper and led on 8500+ man hours of volunteer work.

Speaking on the occasion, Srinivasan H R – Vice Chairman and Managing Director, TAKE Solutions said, “We are delighted with our Dragons renewed performance this season and congratulate N Jagadeesan and Hari Nishanth for their outstanding 161* runs partnership which is the highest ever in the TNPL history! It is indeed apt to name our tree plantation initiative celebrating their success. We hope to inspire people in truly taking up this simple initiative forward to have a considerable impact on our planet!

Speaking on the occasion, Ravichandran Ashwin, International Cricketer, Captain Dindigul Dragons said,”As a sportsman, it is our utmost responsibility not just to contribute on the field but also to our society and people. We at Dindigul Dragons and TAKE Solutions are coming together to encourage the importance of planting trees to support a greener environment which is important with the water crisis hitting us hard.“
