Mahabubnagar: The Amara Raja Skill Development Centre (ARSDC), Mahabubnagar, an initiative of Amara Raja Advanced Cell Technologies and supported by the Rajanna Foundation (CSR arm of the Amara Raja Group), successfully hosted its first Valedictory Programme, marking a major milestone in empowering rural youth with industry-ready skills and sustainable employment opportunities. The event was attended by Shri. Madhusudan Reddy, MLA Devarakadra, Smt. Viziendira Boyi, District Collector of Mahbubnagar, Shri. K Shashanka, VC & MD of TGIIC, and all senior management from the Amara Raja Group.
Since the inauguration on August 10, 2025, the Centre, in partnership with Electronics Sector Skills Council of India (ESSCI), has onboarded the first batch of 98 students from nearby villages in Mahabubnagar district after a rigorous screening process. Students completed the vocational training in specialised courses such as Heating, Ventilation & Air Conditioning (HVAC), Electrical (Domestic & Industrial), Electric Vehicle Service & Repair (EVSR), and EV Battery Pack Assembly Process. The training curriculum involved classroom teaching, laboratory practicals and on-the-job training.
The programme achieved an impressive 98.85 per cent placement rate, enabling the passing out students to secure stable jobs in leading industries at competitive salaries. For many, this marks their first formal employment, reducing migration pressures and contributing to socio-economic progress within the communities.
The local youth who have completed Grade X or XII come from families with limited financial means. Through completely free training, along with free transportation and meals, the Skill Development Centre has removed barriers to education and employment. Graduates now hold NCVET-approved certifications through ESSCI, opening doors to career growth and entrepreneurship.
The Skill Development Centre and the upcoming Giga Corridor will ensure a new era of development and prosperity for Mahabubnagar. With the next batch starting on December 15, 2025, the Centre will continue its journey of transforming young rural talent into industry-ready professionals who excel with skill, pride, and purpose.
