Meerut: Narayan Seva Sansthan (NSS), which provides end-to-end support to differently-abled and underprivileged communities through free corrective surgeries, artificial limb fitment, skill development, education, and mass weddings, organised a Narayan Mega Limb Fitment Camp in Meerut. At this camp, 223 differently-abled individuals were provided with 273 prosthetic limbs free of charge. Approximately 20 per cent of them received multiple limbs, helping make their lives more comfortable and easier.
Prior to this, a Narayan Limb Measurement Camp was organised in Meerut, where over 400 differently-abled individuals from Uttar Pradesh, Delhi, and Rajasthan participated. The NSS technical team conducted screenings, identified 223 beneficiaries, and took precise measurements for their prosthetic limbs. The prosthetic limbs, manufactured using advanced German technology at the state-of-the-art fabrication unit in Udaipur, were later provided to beneficiaries during a dedicated fitting camp organised in Meerut.
Prashant Agarwal, President, Narayan Seva Sansthan, said, “Our endeavour is to free differently abled individuals, regardless of their location in the country or world, from despair and suffering and provide them with a life of confidence and dignity. So far, we have been fortunate to bring new paths and joys to the lives of over 40,000 differently abled individuals. In the future, such camps will be organised in several States, including Ahmedabad, Pune, and Lucknow.”
These artificial limbs, designed by the NSS are lightweight, durable, and accurately sized. They are easy to use and comfortable for the differently abled, and they last a long time. Most importantly, Narayan Seva Sansthan provides these completely free of charge and also offers lifelong, free repair and maintenance.
Narayan Seva Sansthan’s efforts are not limited to providing prosthetic limbs; rather, it is a continuous movement to secure a respectable place for the differently abled in society. The success of the Meerut camp proved that through service and dedication, even the impossible can become possible.
Additionally, the organisation also conducted the 44th Mass Wedding in Udaipur, for 51 differently-abled and Underprivileged Couples. Recently, a comprehensive relief campaign to aid impacted families of the Punjab floods and a Free Narayan Limb Fitment Camp in Indore for 240 individuals was also organised.
