Telangana: Sumadhura Foundation, the CSR arm of Sumadhura Group, announces the launch of its flagship educational initiative, ‘Sumadhura Nirman Shatha Shatham’, dedicated to transforming the quality of education and ensuring equal learning opportunities for thousands of government school children in Telangana. Implemented in collaboration with Vandemataram Foundation and the Department of School Education, Government of Telangana, the programme aims to support high school students in government schools by broadening learning opportunities and establishing clear pathways to academic and career success.

Sumadhura Nirman Shatha Shatham will be rolled out across 25 government schools in 12 districts of Telangana, reaching over 7000 children with a goal of achieving 100 per cent pass rate. The programme is set to run for an initial period of one year, with a long-term vision to extend support for up to ten years, ensuring sustained impact and continuity in learning.

This initiative blends academic support, scholarship opportunities, and career guidance in a thoughtful and student-centred approach. The programme brings together several elements to help students excel. Participants will receive access to quality study materials, exam preparation guides, and support from volunteers. Sumadhura Foundation and Vandemataram Foundation will actively facilitate scholarship opportunities for deserving students in reputed institutions. Additionally, a dedicated Sumadhura Scholarship Programme will be introduced in the future to support eligible students, further easing their path to higher education. The programme will also focus on peer-to-peer learning, collaborative learning activities and consistent monitoring of the progress to ensure comprehensive success of the programme.

Commenting on the launch, Jeevana Kalakuntla, AVP – CSR & Sustainability, Sumadhura Group, said, “We believe quality education is the foundation of a progressive society. In rural areas where resources are limited, it becomes even more essential. Through Sumadhura Nirman Shatha Shatham, we aim to bridge this gap by ensuring every child, regardless of background or challenges, can learn, grow, and dream big. Aligned with the vision of Viksit Bharat, we recognise that our nation’s future is being shaped in today’s classrooms. Our commitment goes beyond education — it is to “Shatha Shatham”, a promise of 100 per cent inclusion and impact. Every student deserves to be seen, supported, and allowed to achieve their fullest potential.”

This initiative also marks Vandemataram Foundation’s first major programme focused on students from Grades VIII to X. Speaking at the launch, Ravinder Rao, Founder, Vandemataram Foundation, said, “We are delighted to have Sumadhura Foundation join us in the noble mission of ‘Sumadhura Nirman Shatha Shatham’. Their support reflects a strong commitment to our nation’s greatest asset — our children. In rural government schools, where students face limited support and exposure, this initiative is a timely intervention. By providing access to quality education, it not only strengthens academics but also sparks aspirations and builds confidence. We sincerely thank the Sumadhura Foundation and its leadership for empowering the youth and believing in the transformative power of education.”

Beyond academics, the programme also aims to strengthen connections between teachers, students, and parents, especially in rural communities. By raising awareness among parents about the importance of education, the initiative seeks to create a nurturing environment where every child’s potential can truly flourish.
