Mumbai, October 15, 2020: As part of ongoing CSR initiatives towards the COVID-19 relief efforts, RBL Bank, with the support of AquaKraft & TEE Foundation, installed a first of its kind unique COVID response initiative – BEING SWACHH STATION – a combination of water filtration and dispensing unit and soap handwashing station near the RTO office at Andheri (W). The management and operations of this station would be handled by a women Self Help Group.
The technology adopted in BEING SWACHH is totally green with the filtration technology which is gravity fed, no wastage of water as backwash, with no sludge. Similarly, the handwashing, which is foot-pedal operated consumes far less water than a normal handwash and treats the grey water post-handwash through green technology and recycles the water making it water positive.
The station was inaugurated in the presence of esteemed guests namely, Shanta Vallury Gandhi, Head- HR, CSR & Internal Branding at RBL Bank, Actor Shreyas Talpade, Dr Bharati Lavekar, MLA Versova Vidhan Sabha Constituency, and Dr Subramanya Kusnur, Founder Chairman & CEO of AquaKraft.
